Heather A. Hannon, MSN RN

Women's Health Nurse, Childbirth Educator

Why Choose Heather's classes?

The birth of your child is one of the most significant moments in your life, and how you choose to prepare for this event can have a profound impact on your birth experience and the well-being of your family.

I am often asked what sets my classes apart from other options in the area:

1. My background as a nurse and my experience as a woman who has given birth naturally (both in the hospital with an OB and at home with a certified nurse midwife) provides me with a unique perspective and allows me to offer a balanced and practical approach that appeals to couples.

2. I have many successful partnerships with both Obstetricians and nurse midwives, and my courses are well respected across the community.

3. I understand that every couple is unique. My classes provide multiple tools for coping with labor and offer a variety of class types and schedules and material tailored to your needs.

4. I  help you tap into what is comfortable for you during the birth process helps to both ease and speed labor. It's much easier to tap into resources you already have than have to remember something foreign

5.  Help your partner in a way no other class does in understanding  the full picture when it comes to assessing and assisting a woman in labor, including learning about the emotional signposts of labor and how to respond and navigate each stage..

6. My classes help couples come together during the birth experience and create an unbreakable bond between partners.  Bradley stands out as the best way for both mom and dad to prepare for a natural birth.

7. My classes form friendships and bonds that stand the test of time.  Classes often go on to have playgroups and support one another through the ups and downs of not only pregnancy and birth, but parenting as well.  The picture to the side is from my Bradley class almost 10 years ago!

8. My  classes encourage moms to remain flexible about their choices and are NOT anti-medicine. Rather, the class helps you build a wealth of tools (medical and natural) to navigate the challenges of labor.  My classes  provides you with sound knowledge of ALL tools (both medical and natural), because the more tools you have for labor the better off you will be.

7. The special Labor rehearsals in my classes are custom designed and packed full of practical suggestions and realistic scenarios are practiced throughout the course, as a result you feel confident and calm as you enter this exciting new chapter in life.
