*Please note that because most mothers preparing for a VBAC are also interested in natural childbirth, I have found it works well to combine the natural birth refresher and VBAC course.
*Refresher classes embrace the same philosophy as The Bradley Method and cover similar topics.
Natural Childbirth Refresher
(with VBAC preparation included)
This course is designed for couples that are expecting again and desire an un-medicated natural birth for this pregnancy. You do not need to have had a natural birth to attend this course. This class is also an excellent option for couples interested in a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).
Natural Childbirth Refresher takes time to focus on the unique needs of second time parents and women preparing for a VBAC. This class embraces the Bradley Method philospophy and is similar in content to Bradley. Refresh your mind about what to expect during labor, learn how to labor effectively at home and in the hospital, discover your inner strength, learn how to work with your body during labor, and practice simple and effective coping strategies to meet the challenges of labor and be fully present during your baby’s birth.
Because no single approach works for everyone, this course incorporates both natural coping techniques and information about medical tools to provide you with as many options as possible to achieve a positive and safe birth experience. Special focus is given to helping couples come together and support one another throughout the birthing process and beyond. This course will give you a solid foundation of knowledge and natural coping tools to meet the challenges of labor and birth.
